AspiringDocs.org® is more than just a Web site. It’s part of a broad campaign the AAMC is spearheading to raise awareness about the need for more diversity in medicine and to connect you and other students to key resources.

On this Web site, you’ll get information and advice from people in the know, read inspiring stories from medical students and doctors who have realized their dreams, and have the chance to share your views and opinions with other students who are thinking about medical school.  We hope that AspiringDocs.org will be a useful tool for any student who is thinking about becoming a doctor or would like to learn more about medical school.

So far, we’ve kicked off our campus outreach at University of Arizona, University of Pittsburgh, and Rutgers University. We’re also planning a kick-off event at California State University, Fresno this spring. Aspiring doctors at these schools have the chance to explore first-hand the many different opportunities available in medicine, to build relationships with advisors and mentors, and to learn more about what it takes to become a doctor.

It’s a campaign to help you get connected, get inspired, and get into medical school.

If you’re interested in figuring out ways your school can get more involved with the AspiringDocs.org campaign, check out the electronic AspiringDocs.org campaign toolkit.
